A note from our founder

The hoodie I needed didn’t exist. So I made it.

I’ve picked my skin for as long as I can remember. Chewed sleeves, wrecked cuticles, a leg that bounces through every meeting. When I finally went looking for something that could help adults like me, I found children’s toys and gadgets that looked like hospital equipment — nothing I’d actually wear out of the house.

Adults who stim deserve better than a toy box.

Prototype no.1 — sewn at my kitchen table

So I sewed stress balls into the pockets of my own hoodie. Friends with ADHD kept nicking it, so I made more. Two years and thousands of neurodivergent testers later, this is that hoodie — weighted, tag-free, built to be fiddled with. It’s the thing I wish someone had handed me at fifteen.

Side by side, no mercy

Spot the difference

One of these is knitwear. The other is a regulation kit you happen to wear. Here’s the honest breakdown.

The fidget hoodie compared with a normal hoodie, feature by feature
Feature the fidget hoodie A normal hoodie any of them, honestly
Material (cotton breathes, polyester prickles) 100% heavyweight cotton. Soft, breathable, nothing synthetic against your skin. 50/50 polyester blend — sweaty by noon, bobbly by wash three.
Labels & seams (scratchy tags end hoodie careers) Zero tags. Printed only, flat seams. Nothing scratches, full stop. Tags at the neck and inside the side seam.
Stress balls in the cuffs (squeeze beats skin-picking) Two sewn in — perfectly squidgy, exactly where your hands already are. Empty cuffs
Fidget attachment loop (fidgets you can’t lose) Clip-on loop holds your FREE fidget — or your keys. Always attached. Nothing to clip, nowhere to clip it
Oversized hood (instant sensory off-switch) Fits over headphones and caps. Pull it up, world off. Fits your head. Just.
Weighted feel (deep pressure calms the body) 480gsm — a calm, grounding, wearable hug. Standard 320gsm. Barely notices you’re in it.
Community access (worth £299 on its own) FREE lifetime access to the Club Neuro community, included. It’s just a hoodie

“A normal hoodie” = the best-selling 320gsm high-street pullover. We bought one and checked the cuffs. Empty.

Do the maths

One hoodie replaces the whole calm-down pile

Weighted thing, squeezy thing, fidget thing, hoodie. Four purchases, one job: settling your nervous system. This does the lot — and it leaves the house with you.

Switching saves you £43 vs buying the pile separately

Does it actually help?

For most people, yes — and that’s a pattern, not a promise. Thousands of neurodivergent testers decided where every fidget sits, and the weighted fabric does the quiet work all day. If your brain disagrees, the 30-day guarantee exists for exactly that.

What size should I get?

It’s a unisex fit that runs true to size. If you want the oversized, blanket-ish feel most of our community goes for, size up once. The weight is spread evenly through the fabric, so it drapes rather than swamps.

Can I wash it like a normal hoodie?

Yes. The stress balls pop out of their pockets in seconds — wash at 30, hang to dry, put them back. The flat seams and printed labels come out the other side exactly as they went in.

How fast is shipping?

UK orders leave the warehouse within one working day and arrive tracked in 2–4. International shipping is available at checkout — times vary by country, tracking always included.

What if I change my mind?

Send it back within 30 days for a full refund — worn, washed, fidgeted-with, doesn’t matter. We can’t learn anything from hoodies that never left the drawer.

Be honest — is this just a hoodie with toys in it?

If it were, we’d have finished two years earlier. The stress balls get the attention, but the engineering around them is the point: 480gsm weighted cotton, tag-free flat seams, a softly lined hood for sensory breaks and a hidden pocket for the fidgets you already carry. The toys are the door in — the hoodie is why people stay.

“For individuals who struggle with sensory overload, restlessness, or regulation throughout the day, having supportive features built into everyday clothing can be genuinely helpful. This is the kind of design many ADHD and autistic people would benefit from trying as part of their daily routine.”

“The Stim Hoodie supports nervous system regulation by giving people sensory input throughout the day. For many ADHD and autistic people, having that sensory support built into something they already wear can really help reduce the effort it takes to stay regulated in everyday situations.”

“I chose to partner with Club Neuro because it reflects what I see every day in my work with ADHD and autistic people. There’s a real gap between awareness and the kind of practical support that actually helps people get through daily life. As someone with ADHD myself, that gap matters to me. Club Neuro is focused on the everyday realities people are living with, not just the conversation around them, and that’s why this feels important.”
